There are many ways to treat and clear acne, depending on what is exactly causing it. The main causes of acne are; excessive amount of oil produced by the sebaceous glands, blocking of the follicle pores and bacteria infecting the inside of the follicle. Acne can be treated with oral medications, topical creams, liquids and gels, light and laser therapy and surgical procedures.

Microdermabrasion. Throwing very little particles to the skin at high velocity is used to remove dead cells and loosens blackheads and whiteheads. This method is useful for keeping the pores open and prevent furhter sebum from clogging the follicles.

To treat mild and moderate acne, retinoids are recommended. These are derived from vitamin A. Retinoids increase the cell turnover of the skin.
Diode laser. To destroy sebaceous glands and stop sebum production without damaging the skin’s outer layer, a diode laser is used.
Nicotinamide. This is a component of the vitamin B complex group, also called niacinamide. Nicotinamide can be used topiclly or orally. It is used to reduce the oiliness of the skin, reduce inflammation and the red look of acne.
